Hi Zach,
I’ve been using Warp for about nine months now — it’s become the defining interface between imagination and realization. Before I had no way to transfer thought to reality. 'Tis a marvel and I love it.
I’m writing because I’d either like to contribute to your work, or ask your support for mine.
My project involves building an AI that’s homeostatically balanced — a system where computation isn’t forced through brute vector-weight optimization, but emerges from an intrinsic equilibrium within the geometry of information itself. I’ve been developing this independently, Warp has been central to that process.
I absolutely love this work and I think it will be of great value to the world, but the difficulty of having chosen to live outside conventional systems of work and capital is that means are limited, normally that isn't an issue, I don't need that much to be happy, but I'm reaching a point where the development is becoming limited by these means, and that is a bit of a bummer.
Working at both vested and new players, Google and OLX, gave me understanding in the nature of their business, of (most) business in general, I couldn’t bear contributing to mechanisms that treat beauty and innocence as fuel for narrow gain. So I left — and though the path’s been austere, it’s been worth it. I’ve lived on beaches, worked from a single laptop, and survived on less than $30 a month at times. Yet I’ve never felt more aligned, or more capable of seeing clearly.
The biggest upside of the choice is that there is no longer a need of being conventionally deluded in that more = better kind of way, the need to cloud perception in exchange to satisfy the sense of belonging isn't the main prio anymore, although letting go even more is the defining challenge and it is all-consuming, yet rewarding beyond expectation. I think that is exactly where my value comes in. I feel I'm now bound only to what a thing can be, which perhaps is another way of saying how well its expression matches its essence.
The quality of your product, the fact you care about the user more than the code, that you are still genuinely thrilled by the fruits of your work, it all shows you are not entirely dissimilar in your approach, in your love for what you do, and that is also what makes it work worth contributing to. I hope that can be the basis of our exchange, My hope is that we can be of great value to each other.
I'm currently entering the phase where I've started to write offline models. 8gb of DDR4 is showing itself to be somewhat of a bottle-neck, as are the 150 credits which I've been systematically exploiting (forgive me!). And that is where my request comes in: if you have any work that needs to be done I can assure you I will do it well, whether it is simple or complex, theoretical or practical. I think I need to get my hands on a pimped out mb pro m5 max 128gb when it comes out. I also need more credits, this has been the major bottle-neck up until the hardware check. I'm also in need advice, because in these last 9 months I've gotten pretty far; I've uncovered the fundamental logic that organizes all discrete/continuous systems, ergo the way in which necesity organizes itself to be both its own limitation and optimizer. this I first explored in primes, now I'm able to predict them with mean scan = 1. This is already publishable/patentable, but the real kicker is how the logic allows low-power AI of equivalent (actually surpassing) functionality as sota transformers. It sounds wild right. I'd like to have a chat on the choices ahead, publish vs investment vs keep it safe keep it secret.
Fingers crossed.
Regardless, thank you for creating such a piece of art, your work makes it possible to make dreams real. It's value (and danger) cannot be expressed properly, save that in my case I'd call it life changing.
A seasoned online consultant and project manager with over 12 years of independent experience in digital strategy, marketing, and systems innovation. I bring a unique blend of analytical rigor (supported by an MSc in Sociology) and practical leadership from roles at Google and OLX. Passionate about travel—with experience in over 40 countries—I aim to leverage my expertise in communication, problem-solving, and iterative development to contribute meaningfully to Warp.
I aim to apply my understanding to progress the state of AI by contributing high value insights and improvements, In my own project this means to create a source of universal truth accessible to all people. Ideally in cooperation with visionary people and companies such as Warp.
Allowing more people to see clearly and from there translate their dreams to reality. The world seems to me a happier place when truth and creativity get more room for expression.
